UV-Laserbeschriftungsgerät
A UV laser is a type of laser that employs ultraviolet light to mark materials by means of heat absorption.
Initially, a 1064 nm laser is converted into a 355 nm laser using 2 crystals. The 355 nm beam then disrupts bonds directly through a process called photolytic degradation. This technique is referred to as “cold marking” because it avoids burning the surface and minimizes heat stress.
Why UV laser ?
Damage-Free Marks
UV lasers directly disrupt bonds, resulting in minimal heat stress during the marking process. As a result, there is no residue, burrs, or yellow tint left on the marked materials.

Easy Marking on Sensitive Materials
Because UV lasers use absorption rather than heat for marking, they can effectively mark heat-sensitive materials that may be damaged by high-powered lasers. Some examples of heat-sensitive materials that a UV laser can mark include:
– Cartons
– Rubber
– Resin
– Bag film

UV Laser Applications vs. Fibre Laser Applications
UV lasers do not depend on heat for marking, allowing them to flawlessly mark heat-sensitive materials without causing damage. In contrast, fibre lasers use heat, which limits their ability to mark heat-sensitive materials without damaging them. However, fibre lasers are often more effective for marking certain metals, such as iron, due to their high output, which creates a strong contrast.
